Bill Hilf General Manager, Windows Server and Platform Strategy ? Microsoft Corp Bill Hilf is the General Manager of Windows Server and Platform Strategy driving Microsoft's platform strategy efforts across the company. Bill?s primary focus is to champion platform initiatives that cross these groups, while leading long-term strategy planning in the Windows Server and Tools organization. In this role, Bill regularly engages with the field and worldwide regions to provide a direct channel for customer and community feedback. This interaction enables customer and community input to be incorporated within Microsoft's forthcoming products and technologies. Prior to joining Microsoft, Bill led IBM's Linux/Open Source Software technical strategy at a world-wide level for the Emerging and Competitive markets organization, in addition to his direct customer interaction as a senior enterprise architect. Bill has been involved with Open Source Software (OSS) for over twelve years, and is an IEEE Distinguished Visitor on the subject of OSS. Prior to joining IBM, Bill was Vice President of Engineering for eToys, where he helped build one of the premier ecommerce businesses on the Web. Previously, he worked as a software architect for multiple Silicon Valley-based software

Steve Riley Bio Senior Security Strategist, Security Technology Unit, Microsoft Corporation Steve is now a senior security strategist in Microsoft?s Security Technology Unit. He is a frequent and popular speaker at conferences worldwide, especially throughout Asia: speaking engagements have included multiple Microsoft TechEds and other conferences, plus SANS, RSA, Black Hat, Windows and Exchange Connections, Windows IT Pro Magazine roadshows, and InfoSec US. When not evangelizing the benefits of Microsoft security technology, Steve spends time with customers to better understand the security pain they face and show how some of that pain can be eliminated. Steve?s technical specialties include network and host security, communication protocols, network design, and information security policies and process. From childhood he has been fascinated with networking and telecommunications almost to the point of obsession; he finds the simple telephone still provides him with endless hours of exploratory joy. Steve is co-author of the well-received book Protect Your Windows Network published by Addison-Wesley.
